LSG, an impact agency specializing in brand building, corporate reputation management, and public affairs, is seeking an executive vice president to join our team in Washington, D.C. The executive vice president will be part of LSG’s management committee and drive business transformation and change management service offerings.

Successful candidates will be entrepreneurial-minded and results-driven and have a deep understanding of the change management and business landscape. Candidates will also possess excellent leadership skills and have a proven track record of effectively leading businesses, teams, and/or departments through pivots, expansions, or organizational change.

The executive vice president position is full-time with benefits and based in Washington, D.C. LSG’s collaborative work environment thrives on in-person interaction. This position is expected to be in the office Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior leader at LSG, helping to set firm business and growth goals and accountable for advancing overall business strategy.
  • Provide executive-level guidance and strategic advice to clients that are navigating complex business challenges and organizational change, including restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, leadership changes, etc.
  • Offer recommendations for improvement and optimization based on audits of client’s business processes, systems, and teams.
  • Develop and execute robust communication plans to effectively engage internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the transformation journey.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of transformation initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities for course correction as needed while minimizing disruptions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform and shape the company’s transformation agenda.
  • Manage client teams, ensuring proper staffing, providing guidance and coaching, and driving excellent work product and client deliverables.
  • Maintain deep, trusted relationships with client contacts and other senior leaders within the client’s operation.
  • Identify and seek opportunities for growth within client portfolio, including cross-selling LSG’s services.
  • Leverage professional and personal networks to sell LSG and our service offerings and make efforts to introduce LSG to new prospective clients.
  • Create an inclusive environment, leading and managing direct reports, identifying professional growth opportunities, and contributing to a culture that inspires and motivates.
  • Lead internal initiatives and workstreams that grow and improve the firm, including marketing, thought leadership, employee resource groups, and more.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of strategic communications experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading business transformation and change management initiatives as a consultant or in-house at the executive level.
  • Experience working closely with corporate leaders in key moments of transformation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, leadership development, and organizational design is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, demanding environment, providing feedback and professional development while also motivating.
  • Proven ability to attract and maintain positive relationships that lead to new clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
