New headquarters follows growing U.S. footprint & new senior hires & practice areas

WASHINGTON LSG (formerly Locust Street Group), a leading impact agency, continued its impressive growth by signing a new long-term 21,500 square foot lease agreement in downtown Washington, D.C. at the historic Herald building. The news comes as the firm has doubled its staff, expanded its broader U.S. footprint, and added additional service lines to continue delivering impact for its clients now and into the future.

In the past three years, strategic investments to obtain top experts across practice areas have led to LSG expanding to 54 employees and integrating new services to help clients grow, evolve, and protect their brands and reputations. Founded in 2008 by campaign veteran David Barnhart, LSG is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and has offices in Houston, Denver, New York, and Boston.

“We are thrilled to create a long-term home for LSG that offers an environment designed to inspire creativity and foster collaboration across our full team,” said Barnhart. “We are proud of our growth, and excited to offer clients a place to visit, entertain, work, and grow with us and our best-in-class team.”

Barnhart said plans to move from LSG’s current 4,500 square foot space in Dupont Circle to the new 21,500 square foot office located in The Herald building will occur once the new buildout is complete in early 2024. LSG will occupy the top floor of the 10-story building and half of the 9th floor, with private access to an expansive rooftop terrace.

LSG’s lease announcement follows the firm’s continued expansion, including:

Doubled Staff: The firm has grown from 25 to 54 employees since 2021, including recent hires and leadership promotions, detailed below.

Growing U.S. Footprint: In addition to new hires, LSG has also signed a new long-term lease opening a Houston office to support its growing industrials and energy practice and has added to its Denver and New York staff.

Expanded Research & Insights Practice: The research and insights team has expanded its offering beyond public affairs and corporate reputation. Clients now have access to leading brand positioning and product marketing research as the practice continues to inform, guide, and support campaigns with trusted data and insights.

Barnhart concluded, “LSG’s new office, senior hires, and growing footprint have us well positioned to help our top-tier roster of clients create impact into 2024 and beyond.”
